Here is some information on what is needed to install ASNA Visual RPG and Acceler8DB.

To run ASNA Visual RPG (3.5 and 4.0) and Acceler8DB (4.7 and 5.0), you must have certain hardware and software installed on your computer.

The system requirements include:

Microsoft Windows NT4 or later;
TCP/IP;
If installing on Windows NT 4.0, 2000 or XP Professional, you must be signed on with Administrative privileges in order to start the Acceler8DB Service and to license both products;
A CD-ROM disc drive;
VGA or higher-resolution screen supported by Microsoft Windows;
A bare minimum of 128 MB of RAM for Windows NT, 2000, or XP;
A mouse or other suitable pointing device;
At least 100 MB free disk space.

Recommendations:

Application Development should be on Windows NT 4.0 or higher (i.e. Windows 2000 / XP Professional);
Run your mission critical Database on Windows NT 4.0, 2000 Server, or XP Professional running a backup Power Supply with NTFS (not FAT or FAT32) OR on an AS/400;.
Run your mission critical Applications on NT 4.0, 2000, XP Professional with NTFS;
Memory requirements for Windows NT / 2000 / XP should be doubled the minimum;
Keep recent Data Backups.
