ASNA Impacta® 1.3.2 for ASNA Visual RPG® Classic

Important 1.1.1 Issues:
The following controls
were removed from Impacta; FarPoint’s
TabPro control, Larcom and Young’s
ReSize control, and DBI Tech’s ctSize
control.
These controls are no
longer used by Impacta, thus eliminating the
possibility of having an older version of the control on your system replaced
with a newer version.
Path Size was increased to
255 characters:
There was a limitation of 80 characters
for a complete path including module names and control names.
New Features/Enhancements:
Release 1.3:
The following
changes were made to Impacta:

Added Client Gather functionality.
Release 1.2:
The following
changes were made to Impacta:

Added ability for the screen to remember its position when Impacta is closed and reopened.
·
The Find Matching option within a Work Area was enhanced.
Release 1.1.1:
The following
changes were made to the Gather by Path
function:

Added arrow buttons (Next, Previous
First and Last) to the Messages tab dialog to assist in viewing
messages.
·
Added menu option Save As from
the File menu to create a copy of the opened Gather Control file.
·
Added a Statistics tab (F9)
for gathered item(s).
·
Display the folder that is currently
being gathered to appear as bolded.
·
Display the last nine Gather Control
Files (.gcf) opened from the File menu.
·
Display estimated times and folder
counts on the Properties dialog.
·
Reversed the displaying of check
marks to now indicate items to be gathered as checked, and items have either
been gathered, or are selected to not be gathered as unchecked.
·
The Gather Control File was changed
to XML.
·

Release 1.1:
1.
The
Gather by Path function has a new look
(menu options, icons) and new functionality (save gather control file, view
statistics, improved error messages, etc.).
Ability to Create and Save Gather Control
Files:
You only
need to enter a path(s) for a particular Gather one time by "adding"
a path(s) to Gather to a list, Saving the list as a "Gather Control
File", then giving it a name, such as Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc. See Saving a Gather Control File in
the Impacta Help for more information.
View the Statistics and Messages of a Gather:
Select any
path after a gather and select Statistics from the right-mouse drop down
or Edit menu, or press F9 to view its overall statistics, such as how
long the gather took, how many files were found/loaded, error messages
received, etc. See Gatherer
Statistics in the Impacta Help for more
information.
Extensive Error Messaging:
Any folder
that encountered any errors during the Gather will display a *YES in the
Warnings column, and the number of errors will display in red next to the Machine name. Double-click on the Machine name to display a
list of error messages. To view each
error in more detail, select Messages from the right-mouse drop down
menu or Edit menu, or press F10.

2.
New tutorials/revised tutorials.
New tutorials have been added, and existing tutorials have been
revised. They are all completely
interactive and require input from the user to continue. This is useful so you don’t need to worry
about keeping up with the tutorial, or getting interrupted, etc.
The tutorials are constantly being revised as Impacta
changes, so please check ASNA's web site for new tutorials and updates at: http://support.asna.com/kb/documentation/help_files/Impacta/Impacta_tutorials.htm.

Impacta's Known issues...
1. Tree Control
has the following limitations:
a.
Header does not auto-size.
b.
Occasionally, the first node text disappears (expand the
node and it re-appears).
c.
Inverted Tree View repositions itself to the top when
expanding.
2. Report
columns overlap longer names and paths.
3. Cursor
flickers when switching to "Used By" view for larger list (i.e. in
Executable View, selecting the "Used By" Tab).
