The following items list the changes that are needed to have AVR 4.x applications use DSS 7.x. DataGate for SQL Server 7.x - Requirements:
You can install these files by selecting a DataGate for SQL Server 7.x custom install. ![]() NOTE: You can not have a 5.0 client (i.e.: adbcom.dll and adbapi.dll) access DSS 7.x Server (Engine); additionally, you can not have a 7.x client (i.e.: adbcom.dll and adbapi.dll) access a DSS 5.0 Server (Engine), i.e. the client and the server have to be at the same release level.
