    • Acceler8DB, All Versions
    • DataGate/400, All Versions
    • AS/400
    • OS/400

SYMPTOMS:

Receiving Error "Bad Definition Stream" after moving Acceler8DB Print Files on the AS/400.

CAUSE:

Here are some possible causes:

  • Manually moving a Print File from one Library to another
  • Modifying Libraries and its Objects

STATUS:

Current.

RESOLUTION:

Instead of working with the print files manually via OS/400 commands, use ASNA's Print File Editor and do a File Save As to the destination Library.

NOTE: The corrupted Print File and USRSPC (User Space) may need to be removed through a terminal session before executing the File -> Save As.

If you can not access the print file, you will need to recreate it or restore from backup.
